The old skipper farm has been in the same family for 10 generations since 1673.
The last owner, Rasmus Beyer, often stood in the gate and welcomed guests inside where he very enthusiastic would show people around. Now Rasmus is gone, but “Beyergården Venner”, a group of volunteers has undertaken to carry on the tradition. They keep the yard open and tell about the old farm.
The interior of the living rooms tells about the everyday life of generations of Beyer people.
In the west wing you will find a room for contemplation. Video clips tells the story about Beyergården seen from the perspective of relatives and acquaintances. Through literature and pictures it is possible to learn more about rural life.
During the summer you can experience concerts in the old farmhouse.
